The grade has been given...
But the journey has been barely started! I still have dates to confirm, and you can expect them here when they come out!
The day to day happenings of my project to raise money for various organizations-and some ways you can help.
But the journey has been barely started! I still have dates to confirm, and you can expect them here when they come out!
I have finalized a packet of information to show to my teacher tomorrow, which proves that while I have not sold a single donut, I have made much progress and by the end of March I will have made another giant leap. I am attempting the lofty goal of $100,000 for this cause-keep up with this blog!
Yes, we have many exciting pieces of news! I received a packet in the mail a few weeks ago from the Turtle Island Restoration Group that gave info about them, their former campaigns, and the different sea turtles. Plus, now not only can you help, but you can learn more too! The biggest thing I got was a DVD known as "Last Journey for the Leatherback?". This documentary explains how there could be only ten to thirty years between the leatherback sea turtle and extinction. I have an idea of where I will be screening it, if I can get a reply that gives me a green-light. There will be many yummy donut-buying oppurtunities in the near and far future, the first (though not completely guaranteed) to be in my school, and the next preferably being in a local Publix (sorry, another not-100%-possibility). If you are a fellow South Floridian, I would very much appreciate it if you came when dates were available.
No, not this website, but the official website of the whole project-Expect info on upcoming fundraisers-and more! Also, stay tuned!
Sent my "Project Proposal" to my teacher. This tells him what I want to help, how I will do it, and how to show evidence of this site.
Hi everyone out there, and welcome to this site! Think for a minute. What have you done or eaten today that has to do with the ocean? What about the life below the sea? Many speceis of animals are going on the endangered species list, and may be lost forever. That is why Dolphin Savers (named after my favorite animal) has been created-and for one more reason. I am also doing this for a project in my school, located in South Florida. It involves working on a cause I enjoy, and as you can see, this is the cause. I will post a link to another site where you can learn more, as well. Until then, enjoy the happenings of my project!
